Dawn Brocks
Our Executive Officer
Dawn is full of enthusiasm and plans for Southern REAP and believes the activity base of REAP has been as broad as it has been innovative. This means Southern REAP is able to contribute by providing lifetime learning and community development activities from pre–school to post–retirement and Dawn is going to keep us onwards and upwards!

Tracey McMaster
Client Services/Accounts
Tracey is an Associate Chartered Accountant, and has worked in various roles in accounting. She has awesome people skills and loves working with people in the community.
She enjoys netball, tennis & squash and lives on a 10 acre lifestyle block in Winton.

Gillian Brock
Adult Community Education & Early Childhood Team Leader
Gillian leads our ACE – Adult Community Education – and Early Childhood teams and is our key link with community groups and agencies throughout Southland, Fiordland, and the Wakatipu basin.

Janine Anderson
Programme Coordinator
With 10 years experience in the banking industry and 6 years working with special needs children within the education system, Janine organises & facilitates all of our school programmes, community education classes, and events – she makes them happen!

Katrina Harrison
Early Childhood Coordinator
Katrina is Early Childhood Trained and has worked in a variety of settings; Playcentre (as a mum and Supervisor), Kindergarten, and running Music & Movement sessions, and Playgym out in rural areas.
Katrina will be working alongside Jo in providing support and information to our rural Early Childhood Services.

Jo Horton
Early Childhood Coordinator
Jo is a trained Early Childhood Teacher with a Bachelor of Education from Otago University Southland Campus.
She has worked in a number of settings from kindergarten, childcare and preschool. As well as training, raising three boys has given Jo wide and varied life experiences, enabling her to offer much knowledge and guidance for Playgroups, Music Groups and Playcentres.

Michelle Meechang
Early Childhood Resource Librarian
Mother of two small children, Michelle maintains our resources for the Early Childhood and Schools departments. She is available at our Winton Office to handle enquiries, assemble orders for resources, and process returns from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.

Linda Herdman
Administration Support
Linda comes from a deer farming background at South Hillend. She has a passion for art and the outdoors. Linda provides support for the various departments within our organisation with her excellent administration skills.

Kate McRae
Human Resources/Quality Management Assurance
With a teaching background, Kate leads our Schools Education and Development Team, working with staff catering for our Rural Southland Schools. Kate also oversees our Quality Management Assurance system, monitoring what we do and how we do it, in order to improve our service to the community.

Jo Shaw
Advertising & Marketing
Jo has made Southland home after relocating from Auckland in 2001. Experienced in computer graphics and customer relations, Jo has joined our team to promote the community courses and resources Southern REAP provides in our great region!

Leon Dunn
Alternative Education Lead Tutor
Leon has recently returned to Winton after 4 years teaching at several schools in London. His work in England included teaching children with severe behaviour difficulties, using technology as a means of engagement.
With a Bachelor of Education teaching primary bilingual, and a keen interest in education as a whole, his interests include rugby, I.T., music and snowboarding.

Colleen Parkhill–Burke
Alternative Education Tutor
Colleen comes from a family of 16 with 8 brothers and 5 sisters, a born & bred Southlander. She also comes from a sporting background, with a degree in Sport & Recreation. In her spare time she enjoys coaching squash and renovating homes. Colleen first joined Reap as Fun Play Lead Instructor, has a natural rapport with young people, and is loving the day to day challenges in her role as Alternative Education Tutor.

Gloria McFarlane
Information Technology Specialist
From a background in programming and application development, Gloria takes care of the computing & technology concerns for Southern REAP Inc. She enjoys the variety and challenges that come with her role.

Wanaka Isaacs
Alternative Education Lead Tutor
Wanaka trained as a Primary School teacher and taught in the Invercargill district for over 20 years. Four years ago she took up a dare to work in her local hotel...and is still there! She began working at Southern REAP in 2008 as Alternative Education Lead Tutor and really enjoys the Alternative Education Programme.

Wendy Cruickshank
Truancy Officer & Alternative Education Tutor
Wendy lives in Gore with her teenage daughter, and over the last seven years she has worked first as a Youthworker, then Family Support Social Worker before becoming a Life Coach for Transition to Work, which she currently does part–time alongside her role as Truancy Officer and Alternative Education Lead Tutor. She has a passion for our youth and hopes to continue motivating our young people in her current roles.
