ST JOHN - LEVEL 1 FIRST AID This one day course is ideal for first aiders in workplaces and anyone wanting to learn the basics of first aid. Gain confidence to recognise and treat everything from common injuries to life-threatening medical emergencies. Learn skills to offer vital assistance and CPR before more experienced help arrives. The course covers... • scene assessment & safety • CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for babies, children & adults • AED familiarisation (automated external defibrillators) • Treating: Bleeding, Burns, Diabetic emergencies, Fractures/dislocations, Soft tissue injuries, Asthma, Seizures, Stroke, Chest Pain, Allergic reactions. Participants have the option of having NQZA unit standards 6401 and 6402 accredited.
